Here you find a hollow molded terracotta female figure, seated with hands held to lap and wearing a knee-length, black-painted skirt. Has black painted detailing with orange tan burnished surface. Note the very intricate and well formed breasts. Very fine sculpted face with recessed, almond-shaped eyes, realistic nose and slightly parted lips. The master craftsmanship is evident with the attention to detail placed on the well sculpted fingernails. The terracotta has scattered areas of strong mineral deposits on the surface. This Jalisco figure is intact and excellent condition and in a perfect state of preservation. Dates to circa 100 BC and measure 14 inches in height.
