Here you find a rare ancient Ancient Campanian pedestaled dish. This pottery plate with a flaring pedestal foot from the Greek colonies of Southern Italy (Magna Graecia). It's dated circa 4th century BC and is painted in the exterior part with decorative elements done in black paint. The interior is adorned with a ‘Lady of fashion’ wearing a saccos, earrings and decorative diadem with white accents. Condition: traces of ancient restoration on few sections. One hole still has a metal plug remaining; method used before glue was available! Measures 2.9 inches high by 6.9 inches in diameter.
