Rare ancient black glazed pyriform pottery bottle from Egnazia having a tapered bulbous body. This elegant bottle has a long tapered cylindrical neck, and flared rim lip. Nicely decorated with the Gnathia style flowering vine pattern painted around the shoulder with two applied disc floral elements at each end of the shoulder. Very minor light paint wear on the outer lip rim, otherwise intact. Comes with a custom base. Dates to circa 350 BC. Measures at 9.25 inches in height.
