Ancient Peruvian polychrome decorated pottery head from the Nazca culture. This ceramic vase is depicted with nose in relief, painted facial features, moustache and wearing a step decorated headband. Has scattered mineral deposits on the surface and a chip on the nose and a minor rim flake. An open probe slit is on the reverse near the base (as seen in photo) and some minor wear to the painted surface. Dates to circa 400-600 A.D. and Measures 7 inches in height.
